Long ago, I made the decision to leave the comfort of my childhood home and head south. So I'm a bit out of place, but I think I have come to revel in being that little yin dot in the yang swirl. I try to go with the flow of things. That's the budding Taoist in me.
An urban liberal living among suburban Wal-Mart conservatives. A young mother in a retirement haven. A nonswimmer in a beach town. And of course, a budding Taoist and lifelong Catholic living in the Bible belt.

Though I still live in a red state, at least my new governor is a moderate, and I cannot WAIT to see how this country remakes itself with the new power structure in Washington.
